The 3018 Pro is a solid entry-level tool for CNC beginners. Assembly requires careful attention, especially regarding the stepper motors and sliding surfaces. Upgrading the supplied power supply to a stronger, more stable unit is highly recommended. The machine tolerates no mistakes, making it an excellent teacher for those learning CNC. Considering its price, the overall build quality is good, making it a capable and reliable choice for beginners.

It seems that the factory set of Z-axis brass nut spring was too tight, causing excessive friction on the Z-axis when moving upwards.
The rigidity is definitely better than in the model with a plastic Z-axis.
It's a shame that the controllers are A4988 and not, for example, the quiet TMC2209.
I bought one. It seems that the all-metal Z-axis makes it too heavy for the motor used. In addition, spring was too tight, causing excessive friction on the Z-axis when moving upwards.
